JLG Forklift Part - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora embarked on on a cross country excursion in their RV. Recently retired, after spending several years working with his brother to build their crane company into an market leader, John had no idea that important trip would allow JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling equipment was the end consequence of a road expedition.

Whilst on their trip, John spent time talking to former business associates whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic incident-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John discovered a considerable market for a product that could promptly and safely elevate individuals in the air to accomplish upkeep and other building services.

Upon returning from their travels, John formed a joint venture with two friends and acquired a metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, opening operations with a crew of twenty workers, they created and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. The business incorporates some of the simple design elements of that original lift into current versions.

JLG forklifts have come a long way since Mr. John L. Grove returned to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. Today, the business proudly continues to expand itself into different markets globally and develops new products to make certain consumers are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
